Far away, just outside the Dens, the wolves were preparing for their long march to the Vampire Realm. They were in six huge columns, each column numbering roughly 3000, each was commanded by one of the six Omegas, who marched 10 paces in front of the column. They were all lined up and ready to march for a full week, to reach the Palace City before sundown on the 7th day. Orders were being shouted along the columns. They were separated into groups of two, Darang and Teyler would we attacking the western gate, Gaylen and Zin would attack the eastern gate, Wendon and Rolind would attack the southern gate. Balinst, in full wolf form, gazed out at the columns from a small cliff overlooking the entrance to the dens. He was accompanied by five members of his special elite force. He scanned the columns a little longer then let out a deafening roar, one so loud it shook loose large rocks from the cliff. He raised a claw to the sky and the whole Wolf Legion returned his roar. They began marching off, towards battle, towards death. They knew that a lot of them probably wouldnt make it back, but each knew he wouldnt die alone. They were tired and hungry, but the battle lust burning in their hearts kept them marching. |

This was my first NaNoWriMo, I finished on the 29th of November. I only did it to help a friend, she didn't want to write alone, so I wrote one.
I got the imspiration from a book I read, By These Ten Bones by Clare B. Dunkle, she did the Hollow Kingdom trilogy if you're familiar with that.

Nothing on Earth is scarier than the Unknown....well 'cept for maybe that spider over there....
I've never heard of NaNoWriMo before.....sounds interesting! But I probably wouldn't be able to do that. I'm horrible with actually finishing stories. I'll just stick to poetry!
I don't think I've ever heard of either of those books.....hmm....
