Because I can't paint.

Mon Aug 27, 2007, 5:53 PM
Those who know me, know full well that my abilities with a paintbrush are equal to that of that weird 3rd grade kid who eats paste and chalk. So I do the world a service and refrain from drawing. Sometimes, however, I really wish I could draw. Because there are so many ideas in my head that just demand to be let out. Some good, some bad. So, to compensate for my lack of artistic talent, I write.

My Canvas is Microsoft Word, my Brushes are my Fingers, my Medium is Printer Ink(HP Black 27) and my Gallery is my Journal.

I don't really know what else to say about that. I'm just a writer, it's what I do. My talent is kinda hit-or-miss, though. An example of this is my Senior Year Writing Portfolio, I've got one piece that scored a low Proficient (technically a 3 out of 4 possible points, but it barely made the cut-off), and one piece that got sent to the state to be used as a paragon of a Distinguished (Perfect score, 4/4) paper. So, I'll write a few things before I get one good piece.

My writing is also rather sporadic. Most of the time I'll find inspiration in something small, I'll think up a story in my head, then with myself being appeased, I'll forget it. So rarely will I actually sit down to write. Wow this entry has been really long so far, and I'm still not done. Sorry, to the two of you reading this :P

I'm not a real angsty writer, I'm kinda mellow, and I try to portray that in my writing. Also, grammar comes and goes whenever I feel like being proper. I believe, though, that the message is in the words used, not the grammar.

I realize that this could've all gone in like, a bio section on my profile page but, meh, I'm also lazy and didn't feel like doing that....
